  2PM adalah Boy Band yang berasal dari Korea Selatan yang berada di bawah naungan JYP ( Jin Young Park ) Entertaiment. 2PM sendiri merupakan salah satu 'sub grup' yang dibentuk dari ONE DAY( 2AM & 2PM). 2PM adalah boyband yang lebih menunjukkan skil dance akrobatik mereka, sedangkan 2AM adalah boyband yang lebih menunjukkan kemampuan vokal mereka. 2PM sendiri memulai debutnya pada tanggal 4 september 2008, dengan single mereka yang berjudul "1O Jeom Manjeome 10jeom" (10점 만점에 10점 or 10 Points Out Of 10 Points).

   Pada awalnya 2PM terdiri dari 7 orang. Namun sekarang mereka hanya terdiri dari 6 orang ( Junsu, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, dan Chansung ), karena leader mereka Park Jaebom mengundurkan diri pada tanggal 8 September 2009 karena kontroversi yang dibuatnya di akun Myspace pribadinya 5 tahun yang lalu. Walaupun begitu, Park Jin Young sendiri berkata bahwa Jaebeom akan kembali ke 2PM apabila Jaebeom sendiri merasa sudah siap dan ingin kembali.

Setelah kepergian Park Jaebeom, semua anggota 2PM mengundurkan dari acara-acara mereka masing-masing  dan kembali dengan single "Heartbeat" dari Album 1:59PM. Album pertama 2PM awalnya bukan berjudul 1:59PM namun Heartbeat. 1:59PM mempunyai arti bahwa 2PM tidak lengkap tanpa sang leader, Park Jaebeom. 2PM pun masih membagi penghasilan dari lagu "Heartbeat" dengan Park Jaebeom.

Namun pada tanggal 25 Februari 2010, JYP Entertainment mengumumkan bahwa Park Jaebeom tidak akan kembali ke 2PM, sebagai kontrak dengan JYP Entertainment telah dihentikan secara permanen.

 Dua hari kemudian, sebuah konferensi pers diadakan dengan sisa 6 anggota 2PM dengan kehadiran CEO JYP Entertainment Choi Jungwook, dimana diumumkan bahwa 2PM akan melanjutkan aktifitas dengan 6 anggota, dan leader baru tidak akan dipilih untuk menggantikan Jaebeom.

Pada pertengahan bulan April 2010, 2PM kembali dengan image yang baru, dengan single ketiganya "Don't Stop Can't Stop" yang menunjukan bahwa 2PM 'stronger than ever'
